?This course is a requirement for the Master of Education Language and Literacy degree and the Reading Specialist Certification program. It focuses on using literature in elementary, middle school, and secondary classrooms to teach the skills necessary for independent reading. Children?s and young adult literature is explored and understood through different genres and cultures integrating universal design through current technology applications and informative evaluation criteria.˜
