A course that focuses on using literature in the elementary, junior high, and secondary classroom to teach and support the skills necessary for increasing engagement, attitudes toward literacy, and independent reading. Children’s and young adult literature is explored and understood through different genres and cultures, integrating universal design through current technology applications and informative evaluation criteria.
