Digital Humanities Certificate

Location(s): INT-Eagle Pass, INT-Del Rio, INT-Uvalde

The Digital Humanities Certificate program is designed to position students for future workforce careers by teaching introductory computation and data analysis as well as the research, storytelling, and communication taught in the Humanities. Students will start to gain human literacy, AI literacy, and computational literacy (Joseph E. Aoun (Robot-Proof: Higher Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence 2017) . The program will connect students’ academic learning to community workforce needs.

Program Requirements: 12 Credit Hours

Students will choose four (12 credit hours) of the following:

ENGL 2312 - Digital Reading and Writing Credit Hours: 3
ENGL 3319 - Multimedia Writing Credit Hours: 3
ENGL 4313 - Professional Reports Credit Hours: 3
