The Bachelor of Anthropology program furthers students’ understanding of the human condition, past and present. Students will learn the methods and theoretical underpinnings of the broader field of anthropology-the study of humanity-including the subfields of cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and archaeology. Because of its broad scope, our field covers a range of topics spanning the hard sciences to the humanities. Students will develop familiarity with our species’ lived experience through time, our ecology, evolution and biological variation, culture and society, and archaeological field and lab methods. The program challenges students to think critically and to understand and communicate diverse human perspectives; important skills in a global society.
