What is history? History is the study of the change and development of human society and its institutions over time, through inquiry and investigation. The history program at Sul Ross State University offers courses in U.S. History, Native American History, Ancient and Medieval History, European History, Latin American History, World History, and Public History, encouraging students to think critically about the past as well as the present to prepare for the future.
