In 2024 for the first time since the dawn of the space age the number of commercial space travelers exceeded the number of government space travelers. A majority of those commercial space traveler were launched from the Blue Origin facility in West Texas. This course will cover the emergence of commercial human spaceflight from its beginnings in the 1980’s with private mission specialists on the NASA space shuttle to today when commercial space travelers are pioneering new frontiers in space. The course will cover in detail the different markets, both existing and emerging, for commercial human spaceflight.
