SPN 3318 - The History of Spanish Art

This course examines the great periods of Spanish art with its characteristic aesthetics, great masters and principal architectural, sculptural, and pictorial works. This course begins with art of Paleolithic period and ends with two of the great painters of the twentieth century, Picasso and Dali. Special attention will be given to Moorish art as well as the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque periods.

Prerequisites: SPAN 1411  & SPAN 1412 
Equivalencies: SPN 3318 (through Summer 2022), SPAN 3318
