This course examines masterpieces of Hispanic literature in English translation. The works, representing the best authors of Latin America and Spain, will be chosen from various genres and periods thereby presenting a broad overview of Hispanic culture as reflected in literature. Meets multicultural requirement for noncertification programs.

Prerequisites: SPAN 1411 & SPAN 1412
Equivalencies: SPN 3320 (through Summer 2022), SPAN 3320
