EDSR 6350 - Counseling & the Neurosciences Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours Lecture: 3 Contact Hours Lab: 0
This course provides students with an understanding of the relationships between neurological processes and counseling. With emphases on counseling diverse populations, course topics include neurological processes associated with perceptions, cognitions, emotions, behaviors, neuroplasticity, neurogenesis, and psychoactice pharmacological agents used in mental health treatment.
Prerequisites: Grade of B or higher in EDUC 5314/EDSR 5314 and have permission of the instructor. Equivalencies: EDUC 6350 (through Summer 2022)
