ASTR 1303 - Stars and Galaxies Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours Lecture: 3 Contact Hours Lab: 0
A descriptive, non-mathematical course that deals mainly with stellar and galactic astronomy, but begins with a brief survey of the solar system. Emphasis is on the study of properties of stars, star clusters, nebulae, interstellar gas and dust, the Milky Way galaxy, and exterior galaxies.
