The Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) is a rigorous and dynamic graduate program that prepares students to analyze, interpret, and shape the forces driving today’s global and domestic economies. Combining a solid foundation in the history of economic thought, monetary and international economics, and public sector economics with advanced technical training in econometrics, managerial economics, and quantitative decision-making, this program equips graduates with the analytical and leadership skills needed to thrive across industries. Students engage in case-based seminars, applied research, and data-driven projects that build expertise in policy evaluation, market forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Courses such as History of Economic Thought and Seminar in Economic Affairs provide context and depth, while Econometrics and Quantitative Analysis develop the technical toolkit required to tackle complex economic challenges. The program culminates in a capstone project, where students apply theory and methodology to real-world problems faced by businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations. Graduates of the MSAE program emerge prepared to excel in roles such as economic and policy analyst, financial consultant, data and market forecaster, public sector strategist, or researcher, equipped with both the historical insight and the quantitative precision that today’s competitive landscape demands.
