Animal Science, BS, Science Concentration

The Animal Science program features an expert faculty across a variety of concentrations, from meat science to animal health/nutritional management to reproductive physiology. Here, students are immersed in the art and science of managing animals and preparing for a career in the animal agricultural industry.

This concentration prepares students for jobs in the animal science research industry and prepares them to go on to a higher degree.

BS Animal Science Student Learning Outcomes (SLO)

  • Students will demonstrate the basic skills of analyzing and interpreting information gathered in a research setting.
  • Students will apply critical thinking skills to deal with potential challenges in diverse animal sciences and related industries.
  • Students will demonstrate general knowledge in animal science content areas.
