Agriculture, BS, Systems Concentration

The Agriculture curriculum is designed to be a broad-based student-centered program that prepares students with marketable technical skills within the agricultural field for careers in business, industry, education, and government.

The Ag Systems concentration emphasizes specialized coursework in several broad areas that enable students to be successful in a wide range of ag fields.

BS Agriculture Student Learning Outcomes (SLO)

  • Students will demonstrate the basic skills of analyzing and interpreting information gathered in a research setting
  • Students will apply critical thinking skills to deal with potential challenges in diverse animal sciences and related industries
  • Students will demonstrate general knowledge in animal science content areas.

Restrictive Electives: 36

Students must choose the following:

  • Four AGB courses; two must be upper level
  • Three ANSC courses; two must be upper level
  • Three NRM courses; two must be upper level
  • Two ORGA courses; both must be upper level
