The Natural Resource Management (NRM) curriculum is designed to educate students in the art and science of applied ecological knowledge to manage natural resources.
The Conservation Biology Concentration is designed to educate students in the art and science of applied ecological knowledge to manage natural resources, focusing on conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and management of nongame and rare species.
BS Natural Resource Management Student Learning Outcomes (SLO)
- Students will be able to identify species of wildland plants and wildlife common to the western United States and describe their natural history.
- Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the elements of an ecosystem.
- Students will be able to communicate about natural resources and conservation both orally and in writing.
