The General Master of Education (MEd) degree allows graduate students to hone their writing and research skills and knowledge in their chosen areas of specialization. Coursework is customized for the individual student and can range from pedagogy in higher education to history, English, mathematics, and other subjects.
Once admitted to the General Master of Education program, graduate students meet with the program advisor to create a plan that is unique to meet their needs. There is a wide array of options:

- Certificate in Dual Credit Advanced Pedagogy—21 hours
- General Master of Education degree with embedded certificates—30 hours
Graduates may find career opportunities as high school dual credit teachers, district office curriculum specialists, college instructors and leaders in the private sector.
