The study of philosophy investigates ultimate questions and cultivates open-minded inquiry and tolerance of different beliefs, perspectives, and positions while advocating that not all views are equally justified or supported by evidence. It develops and nurtures students’ critical thinking, clear writing, and good argumentative skills.

The minor in philosophy consists of 18 semester credit hours.  Students must take a minimum of 9 hours at the 3000 level or above.
