Welcome to the College of Humanities and Sciences!

This newest academic college at Sul Ross State University Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde offers you a variety of upper level Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs as well as creative activities and services to our local, regional, national, and international communities.

In small undergraduate classes with personal interactions, you will engage in critical thinking, creativity and practice written, spoken and visual communication skills. These academic experiences will prepare you to thrive at work and in your community thus empowering you to become leaders and change agents.

In the College of Humanities and Sciences you will find two departments offering a variety of programs:

In the College of Humanities and Sciences you will find opportunities to gain experience as writers and editors in SRSU Student Publications, including The Sage literary journal and The Skyline newspaper, and to work as tutors at the SRSU Writing Center.  You may join student clubs and honor societies. Travel is a valuable learning experience; you will find educational travel opportunities in the College of Humanities and Sciences’ collaboration with the Office of International Studies.

Consortium With Southwest Texas Junior College

Sul Ross State University and Southwest Texas Junior College have a financial aid consortium which allows students to be enrolled in classes at both institutions. Certain restrictions and policies apply. Information is available from the Financial Aid offices at RGC and SWTJC. Approval is required from both institutions.
