MTED 2310 - Foundations of Elementary Math I

First course in a series of two required math education content sequence for preservice elementary and middle school teachers. This course focuses on developing effective pedagogy approaches to make math meaningful in elementary and middle school math classrooms. Topics covered include best practices in math education instruction. The following TEA math competencies will be addressed: numeration systems, foundations of arithmetic, fractions and decimal numbers, estimation, and problem solving.
