MISR 4350 - E Commerce Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours Lecture: 3 Contact Hours Lab: 0
This course explores the world of electronic commerce (e-commerce) from three key perspectives: business-to-customer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B), and intra-organizational transactions. Students examine how companies leverage the Internet, Intranets, and Extranets to streamline operations and enhance customer experiences. Key topics include electronic data interchange (EDI), electronic payment systems, cybersecurity, tax regulations, and global e-commerce policies. The course also covers emerging trends and challenges in the digital marketplace. As part of the hands-on learning experience, students design or enhance a web page, applying real-world e-commerce strategies. Upon completion of the course, students have a strong foundation in digital business models, online transaction management, and the technologies shaping the future of commerce.
