This course explores theory and practice related to counseling at-risk youth including the social, multicultural, ethical, and legal issues associated with school failure and drop-out, teen pregnancy and sexuality, substance abuse, violence, and criminal behavior. Emphases are on skill development, prevention strategies and social justice factors.
