Modern Physics covers a broad spectrum of topic related to the development of Physics after the advent of 20th century. This course would cover quantum mechanic, theory of relativity, solid state physics, etc. Understanding of Modern Physics is essential if students want to pursue a future in applied sciences. Topics include the special theory of relativity, wave-particle duality, atomic and nuclear phenomena, elementary particles, statistical physics, solid state, astrophysics, and general relativity.
Prerequisites: PHYS 2325 , PHYS 2326 Campus: ALP
